The dithyramb is an ancient poetic form built on rhythm, contradiction and transformation. It is a poetry that allows meanings to vibrate rather than settle, where images and ideas remain in motion, and anything that is possible becomes necessary. In this exhibition, Nick Collerson presents a new group of paintings that draw on this tradition. Figures, sidewalks, serpents, and signs move through the works as forms in continual becoming.
